§ 12.08.060. Authorized temporary use of parking spaces.

It is unlawful to temporarily or permanently park, store, or place any car, truck,
vehicle, junk or any other goods, wares and merchandise of any kind upon any street
parking without the specific written permission of the police chief. Authorization
for such use may be given by the police chief upon specific written application for
one parallel parking space or two angle parking spaces for a period of not to exceed
three consecutive business days. A fee of two dollars per space per business day shall
be due and payable to the city clerk prior to the issuance of said permit. The city
manager may in his discretion grant temporary permits for the use of more than one
parallel parking spot or two angle parking spots, or for use for a period in excess
of three days, but shall not grant any such authority for periods in excess of two
weeks, which shall require formal council approval.
