§ 13.08.140. Permit-Connection charge.

  • All applications shall be accompanied by a fee based on the following schedule payable to the city, for the connection charge in addition to the permit fee stated in this chapter.

    A.

    If the premises served by said connection have been charged with a full assessment for sewer construction within ten years prior to construction, there shall be no connection fee charged.

    B.

    If the premises served by said connection are a part of a subdivision or development wherein the developer paid for and installed the sewer system within ten years prior to the connection, there shall be no connection fee charged.

    C.

    Dwelling units: two hundred dollars for the first dwelling units on any premises and one hundred dollars for each additional dwelling unit as defined in the zoning ordinance.

    D.

    Hotels, Motels, Commercial Uses as Defined in the Zoning Ordinance. With regard to hotels and motels the charge shall be two hundred dollars per hotel or motel plus twenty-five dollars for each room in said hotel or motel. The terms "hotel" and "motel" as used in this subsection shall include dormitories for the housing of persons. With regard to commercial uses as defined in the zoning ordinance, the connection fee shall be three dollars per lineal front foot of the parcel being served by said connection, but in no event, in excess of three hundred dollars for any one connection.

    E.

    Industrial uses: three dollars per lineal front foot of the parcel being served by said connection, but in no event in excess of six hundred dollars for any one connection.

    F.

    If the premises is located within the following described area served by the South Fifth Street sanitary sewer extension project of 1988:

    130 feet East and West of the centerline of South Fifth Street and the extension of said centerline due South through the North 212 feet of the West ½ of the East 16 ¼ acres of the NW ¼ of the NW ¼ of Section 30-75-15 from a point 277 feet North of the SE Corner of Lot 4 in the Irregular Survey of the West Part of the SW ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section 19-75-15 to a point 837.2 feet South, in the City of Oskaloosa, Mahaska County, Iowa.

    the connection charge shall be fifteen dollars and fifty-three cents per front foot of the lot facing South Fifth Street or its extension.

    G.

    If the premises is served by the South H Street sanitary sewer extension project of 1994 which consists of the extension from Manhole M39.2 to Manhole M39.3 the connection charge for each premises shall be one thousand two hundred fifty dollars.

    H.

    If the premises is served by or tributary to the West Area Sanitary Sewer Improvements of 1997 which consists of gravity sewers from Manhole WA1 to Manhole WA7 and also from Manhole WA1 to Manhole WA4, inclusively, the connection charge for each premises shall be two thousand five hundred dollars per acre for the entire lot, tract or parcel being served.

    I.

    If the premises is served by or tributary to the Highway 163 sanitary sewer project of 1991 which consists of gravity sewers from Manhole M76 to Manhole M84 the connection charge for each premises shall be two thousand five hundred dollars per acre for the entire lot, tract or parcel being served.

    J.

    For Lots 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 of the World Food Park subdivision, the connection charge for each lot shall be two thousand five hundred dollars per acre for the entire lot, tract or parcel being served.

    K.

    If the premises is served by or tributary to the West Area Sanitary Sewer Improvements of 2013, which consists of lift station and force main from the lift station to Manhole WA4, the connection charge for each premises shall be seven hundred dollars per acre for the entire lot, tract or parcel being served.

    L.

    If the premises is served by or tributary to the West Area Sanitary Sewer Improvements of 2013, which consists of gravity sewer from Manhole WA12 to Manhole WA16, from Manhole WA13 to Manhole WA22, and from Manhole WA14 to Manhole WA27; and lift station and force main from the lift station to Manhole WA4, the connection charge for each premises shall be three thousand one hundred dollars per acre for the entire lot, tract or parcel being served.
