§ 1.20.010. General penalty.

Unless another penalty is expressly provided by the city code for any particular provision, section or chapter, any person failing to perform a duty, or obtain a license required by, or violating any provision of the city code, or any rule or regulation adopted upon conviction, be subject to a fine in an amount as provided for in Section 903.1 of the Code of Iowa for simple misdemeanors. However, in the case of any act constituting a scheduled violation under § 805.8C of the Code of Iowa, the scheduled fine for each such violation shall be as set forth in Iowa Code § 805.8C.
