§ 2.40.070. Officer appointment.

The police chief shall be appointed as provided in Sections 2.08.130 and 2.04.270 and in accordance with civil service procedures and standards set forth in Iowa Code Chapter 400, 1991, or as amended. Other members of the departments shall be appointed by the police chief. All appointments shall be pursuant to and governed by applicable civil service procedures and standards.
