§ 8.12.010. Purpose.

The purpose of this chapter is to provide for the sanitary storage, collection and disposal of solid wastes and for recycling of recyclable materials as herein defined, to protect the citizens of the city from such hazards to their health, safety and welfare as may result from the uncontrolled disposal of solid wastes and the wasteful disposal of recyclable materials.
