§ 8.24.040. Notification.

The first city officer who arrives at the scene of an incident involving hazardous substances will notify the fire department. At the discretion of the fire chief or his/her designee having jurisdiction, the Southeast Iowa Response Group (S.I.R.G.) will be contacted by the Mahaska County E 9-1-1 Center which will also notify the State Department of Natural Resources, and the Mahaska County emergency management coordinator.
