§ 2.6. Compensation.

The City Council, by ordinance, shall prescribe the compensation of Councilmembers and the Mayor; however, the City Council shall not adopt such an ordinance changing the compensation of Councilmembers during the months of November and December immediately following a regular City election. A change in compensation of Councilmembers shall become effective for all Councilmembers at the beginning of the term of the Councilmembers elected at the election following the change in compensation.
